We are working with a Local Authority in the Berkshire Region looking for a Locum Childcare Advocate to join their busy department on an interim basis.
The successful candidate must be UK qualified and have upwards of 12 months’ experience in:
Childcare Law matters Advocacy before Courts is essential Expertise in dealing with a wide range of matters including:
Courts and tribunals include CMC’s, IRH’s, PLO’s and Directions Hearings Matters include Public Law, Care Proceedings, Adoption, Child Protection, Fostering Advising, negotiating and drafting legal documents to the decisions of the Client Directorate and the Council Handling a personal portfolio of childcare cases Representing the Council in legal proceedings concerning children in the Family Court Pay rate is between £40-55 per hour.
The council ideally offer a hybrid working environment. This is a full-time position.
The local authority is looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible. Due to the urgent nature of the role, we are looking to speak to candidates available on no more than 2 weeks’ notice. Previous childcare legal experience is essential.
