* On site role based at Pulsant's Fareham data centre predominantly, with occassional travel to Pulsants other DCs in the Southern region.
* 12-hour shifts, 4 on 4 off. Days (6am 6pm) and nights (6pm-6am).

The role: In this varied role, youll provide first-fix support on M&E and minor fabric repairs, oversee and coordinate contractors, and ensure all Health & Safety requirements are met to the highest standard. Youll deliver small project works both independently and as part of a team, while also offering technical guidance and supervision on larger tasks. With the ability to contribute to reports and audits for the management team, youll play a key part in keeping our operation running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Key responsibilities:
o Deliver responsive, high-quality support to internal and external clients, consistently exceeding expectations
o Maintain accurate records, complete reports, and ensure timely updates across all systems
o Uphold strict health and safety, security, and compliance standards across the site and facilities
o Follow Pulsant processes, including incident escalation and access control procedures
o Monitor systems, environment, and M+E infrastructure
o Manage tickets efficiently, logging issues and providing timely, professional responses
o Support day-to-day site operations, ensuring security, integrity, and smooth functionality
o Perform preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensure facility upkeep and reliability
o Manage stock, assets, and critical spares within the data centre
o Escort and assist third-party vendors and engineers on site Contribute to infrastructure rollouts, migrations, decommissions, and refresh projects
o Capture and maintain accurate asset data, including photos and serial numbers for auditing and troubleshooting
o Involvement with testing and handover, and knowledge and understanding of any new M+E infrastructure installed monitoring the facility.
o Responsible for undertaking the duties of an LV Authorised person on site, including planning, documentation and implementation with a strict adherence to safety protocols.
o This role requires the willingness of providing holiday cover and overtime support within the team and occasionally other sites within the region.
o As part of this role, you will be required to handle confidential information and/or sensitive data in a professional manner and in line with existing Company processes and policies.
o Provide on-site remote hands/smart hands support for remote IT teams during incidents and requests including performing basic troubleshooting, equipment reboots, and component replacements (where authorised)
o Carry out physical IT tasks including cable management, hardware installs/moves, and connectivity checks
o Support cross-connects, console access, and power verification activities
o Assist with rack installation, cabling, and hardware deployment to optimise performance
What / who we're looking for:
o Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, with experience working within a critical, industrial or commercial environment.
o Completed electrical apprenticeship or similar - ideally with 18th edition wiring regulations.
o Basic IT skills, Word and Excel.
o Experience in some of the following would be very beneficial - L.V. switching, HVAC Systems, UPS Circuitry, Generators, BMS Systems, Fire Preventative Systems.
o Currently hold or able to obtain (eligible for) SC Clearance. For further info on this refer to our FAQ document on SC Clearance under the Documents section.
