Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need, including seniors and those with disabilities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily activities.
Our client located in Hertford, requires homes visits 4 times a day, 7 days a week:
Monday - Sunday
10:15AM until 11:15AM,
2:30PM until 3:30PM,
6:30PM until 7:30PM
9:00PM until 9:30PM
Duties
* Morning call – preparing breakfast, medication, personal care including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting
* Lunch call – preparing lunch, medication and ensuring the client has enough fluids and food until the next call.
* Tea-time call - preparing light supper and providing companionship through conversation with the client.
* Bed call - preparing the client for bed and to prepare clothes for the next day.
* Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided
Qualifications
* Care work experience minimum of 2 years
* DBS
* Right to work
* Ideally a female
* Must live in the area – Hertford or Hertfordshire area
* Knowledge of medication administration and basic healthcare practices is advantageous.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
* A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
* Certification or training in care
* Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to accommodate client schedules.
