The client seeks an experienced and qualified Electrical Engineer with a knack for technical problem solving to work at their print customer premises throughout the UK and occasionally overseas (mainly Europe). A full driving license, flexibility to travel regularly, work away from home, and work overtime including weekends are essential.
Responsibilities:
Technical:
* Install presses at customer sites according to work schedules and installation requirements, collaborating with the Project Engineer and installation team.
* Respond to electrical technical requests from customers, diagnosing issues and providing solutions promptly.
* Perform scheduled service interventions.
* Use reference documentation and team support to overcome technical difficulties.
* Report accurately on each assignment, detailing actions and outstanding issues.
Customer Relationships:
* Communicate with senior customer staff about technical requirements and ensure scope of work is agreed upon before starting.
* Maintain good relationships with customers, representing the company professionally.
* Promote the company's service products and training to customers, reporting potential leads.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential.
Teamwork:
* Work collaboratively with the service team to ensure timely and quality completion of electrical work.
Health & Safety:
* Ensure personal and team safety at work, complying with company procedures.
