Hours: 37.5 (part time will be considered) Salary: £55,690 to £62,682 Annum (Salary dependant of qualifications and experience) Overview of the role This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join Choice Care Group at a pivotal moment of service growth and innovation. The Principal Practitioner Psychologist will provide vital leadership in shaping and delivering an innovative psychology-led care model for individuals presenting with complex psychological, emotional, and behavioural needs. This role transcends traditional diagnostic and service boundaries by adopting an individualised, formulation-driven approach tailored to meet the diverse and co-occurring needs of individuals experiencing mental health conditions, autism, learning disabilities, personality difficulties, and histories of trauma. Building upon our established Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework, the position places a strong emphasis on addressing complex, trans diagnostic, psychological presentations. The successful candidate will enhance our trauma- and attachment-informed care approach while integrating additional evidence-based therapeutic interventions. The postholder will deliver clinical leadership, supervision, and expert consultation across our services, driving the creation of psychologically informed environments that consistently deliver high-quality, person-centred support. The post will receive direct support from the Clinical Director, as well as professional and clinical support from the Group Psychology Lead. Qualifications and Knowledge HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical, Counselling or Forensic). Post-registration training in one or more therapeutic modalities (e.g. CBT, DBT, MBT, Schema Therapy).
