Main duties of the job
* Forensic sampling (including road traffic offence bloods)
* Signposting and referrals; supporting vulnerabilities and helping patients break re-offending patterns
* Delivering substance misuse therapies
* Assessment & care of detainees and staff in custody suites
* Promoting good personal healthcare
* Collaborating with Liaison and Diversion to identify mental health needs

Job responsibilities
This role is an alternative career path suitable for RGN's and qualified Paramedics with 3+ years of post-qualification experience.
Custody environments are dynamic; detainees can be held up to 24 hours, requiring high-quality care for varying needs, from dependency to acute medical issues.
Our professionals are trained to collect forensic samples to aid police investigations. Experience in forensics is NOT necessary; training will be provided to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.
If you seek a better work-life balance, this role offers clear boundaries with a 2-on-6-off rota, allowing you to plan ahead. The shifts include day and night shifts, followed by six days off. This is a part-time position based at Salfords Police Custody Suite.

Experience
* At least 3 years' post-qualification experience
* Experience in A&E, community nursing, custody, or similar is advantageous but not mandatory
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
