We are recruiting a Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in major general, urology, and gynae‑oncology surgery to join a well‑established department in Northampton.
About the Role
Deliver anaesthesia for major elective and complex surgical procedures
Work across general surgery, urology, gynae‑oncology, and day surgery
Participate in a 1:12 on‑call rota
Contribute to perioperative care, MDT working, and service development
Support teaching, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
The department supports around 20,000 procedures annually across multiple theatre suites and specialist services.
What We’re Looking For
Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise
CCT/CESR in Anaesthesia (or within 6 months)
Entry on the GMC Specialist Register (or eligibility)
Experience in major general and complex surgical anaesthesia
