What You’ll Be Responsible For
Circle is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and evolution of an AI-powered compliance, risk, and internal tooling platform. This role is pivotal in transforming our internal products & tools into a unified, composable platform that connects and scales seamlessly across all of Circle’s internal systems and data services. You will oversee the design and development of various internal tools, data systems, and partner with third-party vendors to support global compliance programs, finance programs, and business and marketing operations systems.
As the product leader, you will define the long-term product vision for a platform that enables modular, intelligent, and adaptive risk and compliance capabilities. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, AI/ML, compliance, risk, finance, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, and intelligent internal systems. This role demands an entrepreneurial product thinker who thrives in complexity, has a deep technical and regulatory understanding, and can translate ambitious ideas into scalable product outcomes.
We are seeking someone with a demonstrated history of successfully launching external user-facing products and internal tools, managing large, complex program areas, and engaging with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing compliance and business tooling, systems, and platform needs, with the ability to assess multiple needs and define product strategy, demonstrating agility and adaptability in a changing landscape.
What You'll Work On
* Define and execute the product strategy for an AI-native platform that connects risk, compliance, and internal tooling into a single, composable ecosystem.
* Partner with engineering, data, and AI/ML teams to platformize internal products, delivering modular services, APIs, and infrastructure that scale with the business.
* Lead the redesign of existing tools into flexible, intelligent systems, automating workflows through AI and reducing friction across compliance and risk operations.
* Build relationships and create strategic alliances with legal, risk, compliance, engineering, and product stakeholders to accelerate initiatives.
* Identify business opportunities, process gaps, and inefficiencies that could impact platform efforts and address them proactively.
* Work with stakeholders to define product requirements, develop insights, and write detailed user stories for scaling compliance functions.
* Ensure the platform delivers regulatory-grade performance and reliability while fostering innovation through reusability.
* Own the documentation of internal tools and systems, maintaining comprehensive technical details.
* Communicate product status, metrics, goals, and performance clearly to internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring To Circle
* 10+ years of relevant experience in implementing KYC, AML, or Sanctions technologies, especially in scaled Fintech or crypto companies.
* Experience in compliance policy, product, or engineering within banking, consulting, or cryptocurrency sectors. RegTech or Fintech experience preferred.
* A creative, problem-solving product mindset and strong collaboration skills.
* Experience designing compliance workflows with a deep understanding of operational rigor.
* Self-starter with the ability to move quickly and independently.
* Mentorship experience and ability to influence partners and executives.
* Data-driven, analytical, and business-minded decision-making skills.
* Executive presence with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, including legal, engineering, and operations.
* Experience leading diverse teams in complex, matrixed organizations.
* Deep knowledge of money laundering and terrorist financing typologies.

Base Pay Range: $187,500 - $240,000
