Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £35,399 - £39,585 p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: The post holder will be responsible for undertaking Clerk of Works duties associated with projects delivered by, and on behalf of, the Highland Council’s Climate Change and Energy team.
To provide a high quality, customer focused Clerk of works service ensuring statutory requirements and the policies of the Highland Council. This role supports the construction, modernisation, inspection, and maintenance of Council projects, ensuring all works are carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements
Suitable experience in new build/refurbishment/construction/property maintenance.
Educated to HNC in a relevant discipline, relevant experience at a suitable level.
Working towards Corporate membership of an appropriate professional body such as MCIOB /MICWCI.
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
