Shift hours are 7am to 3.30pm. Five shifts per week, with every second weekend off.
Duties and Responsibilities
* To assist the Chef in catering duties, including the preparation and serving of meals to residents.
* Clean and wash all crockery and cutlery items after meal service, and as required.
* As per cleaning schedule, clean ovens, stove surrounds, worktops, refrigerator and all equipment on a daily basis.
* Assist in the pot wash area.
* Mop floor surface at the end of each shift and as and when required.
* Clean food lift thoroughly.
* Dispose of left over food in an appropriate manner, with Chef's permission.
* Dispose of rubbish in an appropriate manner.
* Ensure all areas are secure at the end of each shift.
* Assist with receiving and storing stock items and supplies.
* Be suitably dressed, at all times, including the wearing of non-slip shoes.
* Demonstrate a high standard of hygiene throughout the kitchen at all times.
* Report faulty equipment to management immediately, in the absence of Chef.
* Follow guidelines laid down by COSHH and Health and Safety Act.
