Job Description for Store Production/Department Supervisor

Job Objective:
To oversee the production process and personnel, focusing on meeting production and sales goals.
Essential Functions:
This role involves assigning, directing, and ensuring completion of daily tasks, training new team members, quality control inspections, tracking production, participating in processes, and maintaining store appearance and safety. Additional responsibilities include implementing strategies to meet goals, managing product rotation, coordinating supply orders, supporting store maintenance, enhancing donor and shopper experience, communicating with management, and protecting resources.
Additional Duties: Includes other tasks as assigned by management.
Addendum:
Supervising donation area operations, including sorting, loading/unloading trucks, receiving donations, and advising donors on unacceptable materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Education: High school diploma or currently pursuing.
* Experience: Retail sales or thrift store experience preferred; ability to follow and give directions.
* Skills/Abilities: Effective communication in English, basic computer skills, problem-solving abilities, basic math skills, and ability to pass drug and background tests.
Supervisory Responsibility: Oversees production team members, including paid staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, handle, walk, reach, climb, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision and mobility requirements are specified.
Travel: May require travel for work or training.
Working Conditions: Store environment with variable noise levels, possible dust, temperature fluctuations, and extended standing. Full-time/Part-time with weekend/evening hours.
