This role is a fulltime office based role ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to financial tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting both purchase and sales ledger functions, and assisting with monthly and year-end financial processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting both purchase and sales ledger functions, and assisting with monthly and year-end financial processes. Key Responsibilities Handle double-entry bookkeeping across all ledgers Perform manual inputs for invoices, journals, and corrections where required Assist with purchase and sales ledger activities Reconcile supplier statements and manage payment runs Raise sales invoices and manage basic credit control Process employee expenses and handle business credit card reconciliations Support bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations Assist in preparing VAT returns and CIS deduction statements for review and submission Help with month-end tasks including journals, accruals, and prepayments Ensure all data is accurately recorded and compliant with internal controls Support internal queries and liaise with suppliers or clients where necessary Requirements Experience in a similar Assistant Accountant or Accounts Assistant role Strong knowledge of double-entry and bookkeeping principles Confident handling manual data entry and reconciliations Working knowledge of SAP (preferred, but training can be provided) Competent in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive and professional attitude Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively Comfortable working full-time in the office, Monday to Friday What They Offer A permanent full-time position within a highly regarded brand Salary up to £40,000, depending on experience Exposure to a wide range of accounting responsibilities Supportive team environment with opportunities to contribute and grow Based full-time at our office with structured working hours (9am – 5:30pm) About The Company They are a leading name in the luxury sector, renowned for exceptional craftsmanship, and client service.
