Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Band 6 Orthopaedic Occupational Therapist to join the Central Area Occupational Therapy Team. You will be working in trauma and elective services across Glan Clwyd Hospital and Llandudno Hospital. This post is 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis. You will be predominantly based in Glan Clwyd Hospital with opportunities to support the new elective service in Llandudno Hospital. You will have excellent organisation and time management skills and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of this busy service and to support during the transition to the new site.
Responsibilities
* Work in trauma and elective orthopaedic services across Glan Clwyd Hospital and Llandudno Hospital.
* Develop both clinical and managerial skills; deliver person-centred care in a timely manner while supporting hospital flow.
* Work flexibly across sites dependent on service needs.
* Contribute to day-to-day management and supervision of junior staff within the department.
* Be involved in the Llandudno Hospital Band 6 OT post, the rotational Band 5 OT, and a Senior OT therapy assistant within the team.
* Provide formal supervision and complete annual appraisals for junior staff.
* Contribute to wider Occupational Therapy service activities (audits, service developments, meetings).
* Welsh language ability is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
