Job Description
3. Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
4. Maintain and update employee records, including tax codes, pay rates, and hours worked.
5. Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and management in a timely manner.
6. Ensure compliance with statutory deductions such as pensions, tax, and national insurance contributions.
7. Support the reconciliation of payroll data and resolve discrepancies where necessary.
8. Prepare payroll reports and summaries for internal review and audits.
9. Collaborate with the accounting and finance department to ensure smooth payroll operations.
10. Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards at all times.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
11. Previous experience in payroll processing or a related role within the accounting and finance field.
12. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and relevant legislation.
13. Experience with weekly and monthly payroll
14. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other payroll software.
16. Strong organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
17. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
