What You’ll Do
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our team, specializing in SIM technology. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the SIM ecosystem, including SIM cards, SIM profiles & provisioning, SIM Applets (Java Card), vendors, and GSMA standards. This role will involve working closely with various Vodafone teams and partners to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of SIM technology within our products and services.
You would be part of a newly formed team focusing on SIM & Emerging Technologies within the IoT Connectivity Technology organisation looking to drive forward new technology to deliver business value to maintain our lead in global IoT connectivity.
* Lead the design and prototyping of new SIM technology solutions leveraging the latest advances in the GSMA standards
* Collaborate with partners to implement new business value using technologies such as SIM applets
* Collaborate with IoT teams and the SIM Technology Center to turn concepts into products
* Advocate for the latest SIM technologies and GSMA standards to enhance IoT connectivity business value highlighting both opportunities and risks
Who You Are
* Growth mindset
* Adept at quickly understanding new concepts and technologies, and identifying the most suitable solutions for the problem at hand
* Familiarity with IoT solutions and the SIM industry
* Degree in Engineering or related field
* Knowledge of the latest advancements in SIM technologies and GSMA standards particularly in an IoT context
* Experience with SIM profile and provisioning technology
* Experience working with vendors and suppliers in the SIM industry
* Hands on experience of Java Card and APDUs in the development of SIM Applets would be a plus

What's In It For You
Yearly bonus: 10%
Annual leave: 28 days + bank holidays + the opportunity to buy/sell/carry over 5 days/year

Maternity leave: 52 weeks: the first 13 weeks are fully paid, followed by 26 weeks of half pay
