Job overview
We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, caring and compassionate individual with significant critical care experience and excellent communication skills to join our dynamic and innovative Critical Care Outreach team (iMobile) at the Princess Royal University Hospital.
The iMobile team supports with the early recognition, escalation and management of deteriorating patients in the areas outside of Critical Care, assessing, treating and stabilising patients, carrying out rapid transfers to critical care and following up patients after discharge from Critical Care.
Delivering patient safety education and training (including simulation days) for ward staff is also integral to the role. The team provide teaching focused on early recognition and prevention of patient deterioration incorporating a human factors approach.
As part of the cross site Critical Care department, we also work collaboratively with the Critical Care units and iMobile service at the Denmark Hill site for both the delivery of patient care and provision of education. The iMobile team supports the hospital with recognition, escalation and management of deteriorating patients. Support is provided for ward teams with assessing, treating and stabilising patients, rapid transfers to critical care, and follow up after discharge from Critical Care.
We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, caring and compassionate individual experienced with excellent leadership and communication skills, who will enjoy working in an ever changing clinical environment.
Delivering patient safety education and training (including simulation days) for ward staff is also integral to the role. The team provide teaching focussed on early recognition and prevention of patient deterioration incorporating a human factors approach. Trust CQC inspections have recognised the iMobile service as an ‘Outstanding Area of Practice’.
The Critical Care department offer well-established, structured teaching and staff development programmes. We are affiliated to King’s College London as a member of the King’s Health Partners Academic Health Science Centre.
