A well-established, regulated manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to lead and control end‑to‑end supply chain activities, including multiple Contract Manufacturers. In this job you will have a strong strategic focus, driving value, resilience, and performance across the supply base while operating within a secure and fast‑paced environment.
Your new role
1. Monitor and control the supply chain to ensure cost-effectiveness of products, supply chain robustness and resilience and sufficient capacity to meet business demand.
2. Lead and engage in negotiations with senior internal and external stakeholders forponents.
3. Drive high‑value, strategic supply chain plans that deliver value‑for‑money solutions while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
4. Develop and execute category strategies that deliver measurablemercial and operational impact.
5. Manage end‑to‑end supply chain activities across multiple subcontractors and suppliers.
6. Take ownership of subcontractor and supplier delivery performance.
7. Report on inventory holding, availability, and associated risks.
8. Manage supply chain projects, delivering objectives within agreed timelines.
9. Ensurepliance with grading requirements, regulations, and export licence controls.
10. Work in line with ISO standards and internal quality frameworks.
What you'll need to succeed
11. Senior‑level experience in supply chain, category management, or procurement within manufacturing
12. Proven negotiator delivering high‑value supplier and subcontract agreements
13. CIPS / MCIPS qualified or equivalent calibre
14. Strong electronics manufacturing supply chain background
15. Highlymercial, results‑driven, and analytically sharp
16. Advanced Excel capability
