An independent school in Aylesbury is seeking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join its successful Humanities department from September. Geography is a highly regarded subject within the school, with students encouraged to explore physical and human geography, environmental issues, sustainability, and global development through a broad and engaging curriculum.
You will teach Geography across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking.
Students will study topics including climate change, ecosystems, urbanisation, population, natural hazards, globalisation, rivers, coasts, and sustainability while developing strong analytical, research, and fieldwork skills.
You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Geography examinations, supporting excellent academic outcomes and progression to higher education.
You may also contribute to enrichment opportunities including field trips, geographical investigations, and wider humanities activities.

Teach Geography across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging lessons in physical and human geography

Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Geography at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in physical and human geography
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Geography
Experience working in an independent school setting
Ability to lead fieldwork or enrichment activities
Strong examination preparation experience
