The company are looking for an experienced Operator/Lead Operator to support with day-to-day Operations of their anaerobic digestion plant in North Kent. The vitally important Operator/Lead Operator role comes with a salary of up to £45,000, discretionary annual bonus and additional benefits package. Responsibilities and duties of the Operator role Reporting to the Plant Manager you will: Optimising process plant operations Helping to manage day to day operations of the anaerobic digestion plant Assisting with the weekly and monthly reporting of plant efficiency, trends and analysing the data Covering for the Site Manager in their absence Writing risk assessments Maintaining the highest levels of Health & Safety Understanding the importance of permits and compliance with the Environmental Agency Basic first line maintenance, i.e. with pumps and valves - have a keen eye for fault-finding and diagnosis Operating a telehandler Monitoring and running the plant via a SCADA system Other duties as required Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Mobile plant licence (telehandler/loading shovel) A relevant engineering certificate is desired A full UK Driving Licence Personal skills The Operator role would suit someone who is: Experience in anaerobic digestion is highly desired Experience at supervisory level or 2-3 years' experience as an Operator Good mechanical knowledge Great at working under pressure Excellent computer literacy A mentality towards continuous improvement and a genuine passion for the industry Salary and benefits of the Operator/Lead Operator role Salary of up to £45,000 (depending on experience) Discretionary annual bonus Excellent benefits package Other benefits discussed at interview INDREN Astute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
