As Facilities Manager you will lead day-to-day facilities operations across multiple locations, working closely with operational teams and external contractors. You will focus on compliance, preventative maintenance, contractor management and continuous improvement. The Facilities Manager will also support engineering projects, oversee waste management activities and contribute to budget planning. DUTIES Your duties as the Facilities Manager include: Facilities Maintenance Oversight: Managing reactive and planned maintenance of buildings, plant and equipment Contractor Management: Coordinating, supervising and controlling third-party contractors on site Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring safe working practices and improving contractor control and site standards Performance Monitoring: Tracking equipment performance, availability and maintenance data Operational Collaboration: Working with Operations to prioritise work and plan shutdowns Preventative Maintenance: Developing and implementing maintenance schedules with the facilities team Engineering Support: Assisting with new equipment installations and contractor coordination Waste Management: Overseeing waste processes and ensuring regulatory compliance Emergency Response: Participating in the on-call rota and responding to out-of-hours incidents Budget Support: Obtaining quotations and supporting CAPEX and OPEX planning Deputy Responsibilities: Acting as deputy to the Facilities Manager when required CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL Proven experience managing contractors and third-party service providers Previous experience in a facilities role within manufacturing, production, industrial or logistics environments Strong knowledge of health and safety compliance and contractor control Experience working with planned and reactive maintenance programmes Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach DESIRABLE IWFM qualification or working towards a facilities management qualification Experience using CAFM systems Exposure to supporting engineering projects or new equipment installations BENEFITS 4.5 day working week Employee discount at local businesses Perks through local sports club partners On-site parking HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
