Financial Adviser Associate City & Capital are currently representing a highly respected & fast-growing IFA consultancy practise who primarily support the business owners of wealth management and financial planning firms with strategic growth and exit initiatives. Our client has become renowned as the go to business in the IFA space for guidance in terms of business improvement and optimising businesses for eventual sale. Due to their success and rapid expansion, they are seeking an individual who will join to support activity within their mergers & acquisitions department. Key Responsibilities Initially, you will work in partnership with Senior M&A Partners within the business to: Identify and engage with prospective clients who may be looking to grow or exit Undertake detailed client fact finds to understand their needs and desires Oversee and progress the pipeline of mergers and acquisition activity for the dept Liaise with the project management office to drive productive use of time & meetings Ensure diaries are managed to meet key deadlines and SLAs Act as a key point of contact for both buyers and sellers within client M&A processes Offer feedback to buyers and sellers in relation to ongoing meetings and activity Draft acquisition documents and contracts and liaise with third parties, such as lawyers Support the matching process between buyers & sellers to drive engagement Organise and attend meetings with clients, external stakeholders, professional partners Oversee the company CRM to ensure accurate input, updates and reports Create and deliver reports that highlight the performance of campaigns and clients Handle confidential information and ensure that data rooms are secure and monitored Act as the key conduit to our client’s other business units and shared client activity Support event planning to ensure that the firm is always best represented in the market Support the marketing efforts of the business, including social media and community Support cue diligence and requirements to support compliance and best practise Develop pitch decks and presentations that support client engagement & success Organise and attend company and industry events, conferences and seminars Undertake any task that supports the need of the business, clients and success The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate for this role will be highly organised and capable of managing ongoing projects simultaneously.You will be proactive in your approach, quick to spot issues or opportunities and eager to address them. Due to high levels of client engagement, you must also be a confident communicator both verbally, and in writing, and will naturally be client centric in your approach. The ideal individual will display some current or previous financial services experience, with individuals that have worked for or with IFA or wealth management firms in the past being highly sought after. Critically, you do not have to have worked in mergers & acquisitions before as full training will be given. Our client requires a genuine passion for the arriving individual to be keen to build a long & successful career in IFA M&A. On Offer Our client is ideally looking to pay up to £35k as a basic salary, relevant to experience. Higher offers mayalso be considered for exceptional talent and potential.
