Job Description:
Visual Merchandising Manager working for a global Beauty brand.
Location: Ideally based near Glasgow due to the head office location; however, candidates in London/UK willing to travel to HQ once a month (expenses covered) are also considered.
Start date: Beginning of September, 3-month FTC, likely extendable to 6 months.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Visual Merchandising, the VM Manager manages and supports the global visual merchandising strategy by collaborating with stakeholders, developing fixture and event designs, and ensuring brand messaging consistency across retailer channels. The role involves delivering innovative retail experiences aligned with brand strategy and business goals across all physical distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain all Visual Merchandising execution and store expression according to brand guidelines, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on POS materials for all distribution points.
2. Create CPAs/schedules; assess and flag risks for VM projects.
3. Maintain the VM Master List across all projects, flag risks, and propose solutions.
4. Coordinate retailer reset/rebuild updates and promotions with the VM master calendar, ensuring timely delivery.
5. Create VM design briefs based on shared information from Sales, Marketing, and Retail partners.
6. Develop planograms and optimize shelf productivity in partnership with Sales, considering POS manufacturing, materials, and lead times.
7. Manage POs, track CAPEX and OPEX costs, and maintain the VM budget and tracker.
Role Requirements:
1. Minimum 5 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, preferably in Beauty and/or FMCG.
2. Bachelor Degree in Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or Visual Merchandising.
3. Strong understanding of technical aspects of VM, manufacturing, and working with suppliers.
4. Ability to interpret technical/manufacturing drawings.
5. Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience managing large, complex projects.
6. Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects.
7. Confidence in creating and presenting VM presentations to stakeholders, sharing risks and solutions.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design programs including Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Cinema4D, AutoCAD, Fusion.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
