Road Technician (TG1)
CPL have partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit for a Civil Engineering Assistant (TG1 Grade) to join their team on a temporary contract, with possibility of extension.
·Pay Rate - £12.97 per/hr
·Location – DfI Roads Mid & East Antrim Maintenance Team
·Benefits – 37 days holiday per annum
·Hours – 37 hours per week
Responsibilities will include:
·Ensuring that public roads and footways are inspected to schedule and to identify defects for repair in accordance with Road Maintenance Standards for Safety and to provide a statutory defence in public liability claims.
·Dealing with public complaints within a reasonable timescale.
·Permit Inspections
·Possible court appearances on behalf of the Department
Essential Experience/Qualifications
·At least a BTEC National Certificate/Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
OR
·Minimum qualifications – 5 GCSE’s. Grade B in maths, Grade C in English Language, Grade C in a Civil Engineering Science and two other GCSEs at grade C or above.
AND
·A full current driving licence enabling the licence holder to drive vehicles in Northern Ireland and access to a car.
Relevant or Equivalent Qualifications
Applications will also be considered from applicants with relevant formal qualifications considered to be of an equivalent or higher standard to those stated.
