Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Bacup
Bacup Start Date: September £14.25 per hour 8:30am – 3:30pm (30-minute lunch break)
We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bacup from September.
This role will involve supporting pupils across EYFS and KS1, working closely with class teachers to provide high-quality learning support and help children achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver daily phonics groups and oversee assessment and progress tracking for your group
* Support reading development through daily readers and targeted reading interventions
* Work with both higher-achieving pupils and children working towards age-related expectations
* Assist teachers with classroom set-up, behaviour management and pupil progress
* Provide engaging and supportive learning experiences across EYFS and KS1
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Previous experience working within a school setting (essential)
* Experience supporting EYFS or KS1 pupils (essential)
* Confidence delivering phonics interventions
* Knowledge of the Little Wandle phonics scheme (preferred but not essential)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A positive, nurturing and proactive attitude
