 
        
        Boeing Defence UK – Technical Publications Verification Engineer
We are seeking a Technical Publications Verification Engineer to support our rotary wing platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and compliance of technical publications including the wider Air System Document Set (ADS) related to our aerospace products.
Key Responsibilities
 * Review technical documentation for accuracy and completeness, including ADS updates, technical publication manuals, annotations, and maintenance instructions.
 * Maintain independent pre‑release reviews and deliver publication change logs to the UK MoD Authority.
 * Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards and regulatory requirements.
 * Collaborate with engineering teams to understand product specifications and operational requirements; provide guidance to technical writers on clear content.
 * Conduct thorough quality checks on publications to identify errors and inconsistencies; implement verification processes to enhance quality.
 * Stay updated on industry regulations and standards (MAA, EASA, and other regulatory bodies) and ensure compliance.
 * Highlight errors and inconsistencies, raise appropriate MOD Form 765 action as required, and provide constructive feedback to improve documentation quality.
 * Assist in training technical authors and support the development of tools and templates to improve the ADS review process.
 * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance documentation processes.
Location and Working Hours
This role is on‑site with flexible working hours.
Key Qualifications & Experience
 * Eligibility for UK SC Security Clearance.
 * Subject matter expertise in technical publications; extensive knowledge and hands‑on experience in compiling and amending aircraft technical publications.
 * Experience with aircraft Topic 5 series ADS.
 * Leadership and mentorship – demonstrated ability to act as a Technical Publication SME, teach, mentor, and develop junior engineers.
 * Maintenance and engineering expertise – strong background in aerospace maintenance and engineering with proven practical application.
 * Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, computer science, or related discipline.
Desirable Skills & Preferred Experience
 * Defence industry familiarity.
 * Commitment to quality – proven track record of driving first‑time quality in engineering outputs.
 * Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially MS Word) and Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
 * Experience liaising with internationally located teams, including Design Organization interface.
 * Rotary wing publications authoring experience (preferred).
 * Ability to participate in broader company initiatives such as quality improvements, safety culture, diversity & inclusion, STEM outreach, and focus projects supporting growth.
