Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine site inspections to ensure works are carried out in line with specifications, health & safety standards, and contract requirements
Monitor workmanship, materials, and methods to maintain high-quality outcomes
Produce clear and accurate site inspection reports with photographic evidence
Identify and report defects or non-compliance issues, ensuring timely rectification
Liaise with site supervisors, operatives, subcontractors, and clients to resolve on-site issues
Support auditing processes, snagging, and handovers
Carry out checks on traffic management compliance, environmental controls, and safe systems of work
Assist in monitoring progress and ensuring timelines are adhered to
Attend pre-start meetings, site briefings, and progress reviews as required
Work closely with the office and delivery teams to provide feedback from site visits
Job Requirements:
Experience in highway site inspection or a similar role
Strong understanding of industry standards and specifications
Excellent knowledge of health & safety standards and compliance
Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate reports
Proficient in using site inspection tools and software
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or related discipline
