The University of Law Business School provides industry accredited degrees (CMI, CIM, APM, CIPD and ACCA) in Business Management, Marketing, HR, Finance and Accounting, designed specifically for employability. We are currently seeking Lecturer and Senior Lecturer positions on our centrally located Birmingham campus.
We are looking for specialists with experience in Data, Cyber Security, Business Analytics, Quantitative Methods, Project Management, HRM, Management and General Business, ideally from the Higher Education sector. Candidates with experience in the Harvard Case Method and online simulation are particularly desirable.
Responsibilities
* Teach and assess across the Business School’s postgraduate and undergraduate BSc courses, delivering high-quality tuition.
* Assist in the preparation of assignments and assessments.
* Participate in course design and review.
* Act as an academic coach, providing individual feedback and supporting students’ progress.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree (in Business and/or Management) or equivalent professional qualifications.
* For Senior Lecturers: Fellowship of the HEA and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PgCHE*) or equivalent, plus extensive relevant experience.
* Teaching experience within Higher Education or an educational establishment.
* Flexibility to teach across a range of subjects.
* Professional, punctual and committed to teaching.
* For Senior Lecturers: significant expertise in a range of teaching techniques, pastoral care, mentoring, assessment and marking, and team leadership. If not yet holding a PgCHE, enrolment in the programme (financially supported by the University) within 12 months of probation is required.
