<div><h3>Maternity cover-Referral Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Orthopaedic/Neurology Nurse – Bristol Veterinary Specialists – Avonmouth, Bristol</h3><p>Are you an RVN with a particular interest in orthopaedic and/or neurology nursing? Were looking for you to join our specialist veterinary team at a brand-new referral centre.</p><p>If you are an enthusiastic, compassionate individual that has a particular interest in inward-based nursing then we want to hear from you.</p><p>The right candidate will join a team of nurses, auxiliaries and duty vets to deliver the highest standards of care for our patients.</p><p>You will be a registered and experienced nurse who is forward-thinking, shows empathy and demonstrates exemplary teamwork.</p><p>The role will consist of 3x 10hr days of mixed shifts between the surgical ward and procedures. We provide full induction, mentoring and support to enhance your skills in advanced nursing care. You will also participate in a bank holiday and weekend working rota.</p><h3>Neurology</h3><p>You will participate in a range of:</p><ul><li>Ward based nursing providing inpatient care to include bladder expression, urinary catheter maintenance, physiotherapy and rehabilitation methods</li><li>Neurological procedures such as assisting with surgery, EMG, cystometry, blood samplings and consultations.</li></ul><h3>Orthopaedics</h3><p>You will participate in a range of:</p><ul><li>Ward based nursing providing inpatient care to include wound and bandage management, rehabilitation methods, pain monitoring, cryotherapy</li><li>Orthopaedic procedures such as assisting with surgery, joint taps, x‑rays, and bandage changes and consultations.</li></ul><p>Previous experience in referral nursing would be beneficial but we also encourage applications from registered veterinary nurses with several years post‑qualification, first opinion practice experience.</p><h3>Compensation and Benefits</h3><p>As well as a competitive salary of £30,000 to £35,000 FTE we offer some great benefits as part of the CVS group including:</p><ul><li>Option to buy and sell holiday allowance.</li><li>Save as you earn scheme.</li><li>Healthshield cash plan.</li><li>Gym membership discounts.</li><li>Parental benefits.</li><li>Optional private medical, life, critical illness cover.</li></ul><h3>Application</h3><p>Want to join our team?</p><p>To apply, click on the ‘Apply Now button below.
