About The Role - PSV/HGV Engineer
Do you want to be part of our energetic team of mechanical engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses?
We are looking for an experienced Engineer to join our busy engineering team in First Bus Ipswich.
We offer technical up-skilling and career progression and we'll also provide all the PPE and basic tools you'll need to succeed in your role.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults, servicing, and replacing parts as needed
* Identifying issues accurately and recommending the correct method of repair and parts required
* Performing routine inspections and servicing using handheld data capture devices (where applicable)
* Attending roadside breakdowns and supporting vehicle recoveries
* Road-testing vehicles to confirm issues or check work after repairs
Location: Ipswich, IP4 1AD
Working Hours: 39 hours per week - 5 days over 7 - rotating schedule of 07:00-15:00 one week then 12:00-20:00 the next week
Hourly Rate: £20.12 per hour with a weekend premium rate of £21.14 per hour
About You
* Do you have a minimum of a Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent qualification in vehicle mechanics?
* Do you have a valid UK driver's licence?
* A PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential (we will help you obtain this)
* Experience of working with buses & coaches would be an advantage, but any vehicle mechanic experience will be considered (HGV)
* Do you have Right to Work in the UK?
