An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to oversee our two Carlisle Extra Care services, Heysham Gardens and Burnside Court, both well-established and highly regarded. These services feature vibrant, compassionate care teams supporting older adults, with support available during the day and waking night support as needed. The services are registered with the CQC for Personal Care and maintain good systems and processes to deliver consistent quality care. The successful candidate will be registered with the CQC and meet the expectations of local authority commissioners and contractual requirements, with the service holding a 'Good' rating from the CQC.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and motivate the staff team to provide high standards of customer care and person-centred service delivery, promoting independence, choice, and wellbeing.
2. Operational management of the service, including supervising a Deputy Manager and Support Workers.
3. Work effectively with families, agencies, and Housing Scheme Managers, managing contracts and relationships.
4. Undertake quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with care standards.
5. Respond to referrals, undertake assessments, and participate in allocation processes.
6. Ensure personalized care plans are in place for each individual, meeting their needs and preferences.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Minimum three years management experience in care settings supporting older adults, such as extra care, home care, or residential care.
2. Previous staff supervision and management experience.
3. Warm, caring, and person-centred approach, with the ability to work collaboratively with service users and families.
4. Commitment to re-ablement principles, dignity, and independence.
5. Strong organisational skills, accountability, and a proactive, hands-on leadership style.
