Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term role where you can make a real difference? We are seeking a dedicated SEN TA to support pupils with additional needs in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Horley area. This long-term opportunity is perfect for someone who is passionate about providing consistency and helping children thrive both academically and emotionally.
SEN Teaching Assistant – Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health needs).
* Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored learning plans.
* Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs and ensure inclusive learning.
* Support positive behaviour management strategies.
* Promote personal, social, and emotional development alongside academic progress.
SEN Teaching Assistant – Candidate Requirements
* Minimum 6 months’ experience working as an SEN TA, Teaching Assistant, or LSA in a school setting.
* Experience supporting children with additional needs in Primary or Secondary education.
* A patient, caring, and resilient approach to supporting children.
* Relevant qualifications (CACHE, Level 2/3 TA, or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
