Compensation & Benefits Manager
Location: South Cambridgeshire (Hybrid – min. 2 days/week on site)
Contract Type: Full or part-time hours
Salary: Up to £80,000 + 10% discretionary bonus + excellent benefits
We’re looking for a confident, experienced, and proactive Compensation & Benefits Manager to join a growing organisation.
This is a standalone role, reporting directly to the HR Director and working closely with the CFO.
You’ll be stepping into a dynamic, international scale-up environment with teams across the UK, USA and Europe (c.110 employees). This is a rare opportunity to develop, own, and lead the entire C&B function globally—driving strategic initiatives while remaining hands-on and detail-oriented.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all global compensation & benefits programs, including sales incentive plans, company bonus schemes, and salary benchmarking.
* Partner with outsourced providers in the USA and across international regions to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processes.
* Validate UK payroll reports (input handled by HR Admin) and check outsourced US payrolls.
* Design and implement job families and salary frameworks across departments.
* Advise the business on best practices in total rewards, including the development of global benefits offerings.
* Contribute to their journey as a private equity-backed, fast-scaling business—bringing creativity and influence to shape our total rewards offering.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in UK and international C&B, ideally with exposure to the USA market (or willingness to learn).
* Strong understanding of sales incentive plans, benchmarking, bonus design, and job family creation.
* Excellent financial and commercial acumen.
* Experience in scale-up, start-up, or investor-backed environments – comfortable navigating ambiguity and fast-paced change.
* Confident using tools such as HiBob (HRIS), Excel, SharePoint, and ERP systems.
* Highly organised, influential, and proactive with a "hands-on" mindset.
* Either an experienced professional looking for a fresh challenge, or a high-potential, up-and-coming talent ready to step up.
Benefits include:
* Competitive salary up to £80,000
* 10% discretionary bonus based on company objectives
* 10% employer pension contribution
* AXA private healthcare
* 26 days holiday + bank holidays
* Cycle to Work Scheme
* Mental Health EAP support
* Life Assurance & Death in Service cover
* Flexibility to work 3, 4, or 5 days/week or compressed hours
