Responsibilities:
1. Cultivate robust, trusting relationships with managers, colleagues, and trade union representatives, embodying Elanco’s values of integrity, respect and excellence. Act as a strategic HR business partner to foster collaborative, high-performing environments.
2. Coach and empower managers in HR policies, process excellence, and people management, with a strong emphasis on fairness, compliance, and driving both individual and collective accountability for performance.
3. Champion high-performance culture, guiding managers through holistic talent development and performance management to unlock the full potential of every colleague.
4. Work closely with the HR Director on succession planning and talent development.
5. Support and upskill managers in the execution of investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, securing prompt, fair, and values-driven outcomes.
6. Equip the business with actionable HR insights by gathering, analysing, and reporting HR data to inform decision-making, transformation, and continuous improvement.
7. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in payroll preparation, providing high-quality HR data that supports financial integrity and operational excellence.
8. Collaborate closely with Centres of Excellence to streamline recruitment and onboarding, offering standout candidate experiences.
9. Lead site partnerships with employment agencies, optimising contingent workforce solutions and safeguarding adherence to Elanco’s standards and values.
10. Serve as the trusted first point of contact for HR queries, delivering outstanding service and upholding Elanco’s commitment to care and inclusivity.
11. Maintain strong working knowledge of UK employment law and emerging HR best practices, ensuring our site remains compliant, competitive, and forward-thinking.
12. Partner directly with the HR Director, actively contributing to strategy development and transformation initiatives that enhance business outcomes and deliver value.
13. Challenge the status quo—embrace the site’s transformation journey, drive positive change, and inspire others to excel in line with Elanco’s values and behaviours.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
14. CIPD Level 5 qualification or substantial experience working in a unionised environment.
15. Working knowledge of UK Employment law.
16. Demonstrable HR Generalist experience, with a proven ability to manage all stages of the employee lifecycle in a manufacturing environment.
17. Advanced computer literacy, including strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; particularly skilled in Microsoft Excel for data management.

18. Experience working with HRIS (, Workday) is advantageous but not essential.
