Head Chef – Contract Catering – North Ferriby

Are you a passionate and experienced chef with strong leadership skills? We’re looking for a Head Chef or Chef Manager with a background in workplace catering to take the lead in a high-volume, 24/7 catering site near Hull. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy developing teams, and take pride in delivering quality food and service, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
5. Menu Planning & Execution – Deliver menus tailored to customer preferences, ensuring top-quality food presentation while managing portion control and minimizing waste.
6. Stock & Cost Management – Monitor inventory levels, place sensible orders, and control costs effectively.
7. Customer Engagement – Build strong relationships with clients and customers, gathering feedback to enhance service.
8. Health & Safety Compliance – Maintain a safety-first culture, ensuring all food safety regulations and policies are followed.
9. Financial Oversight – Manage budgets, track financial performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
What we’re looking for:
10. Proven experience as a Head Chef or Chef Manager in a high-volume environment, preferably workplace/B&I catering
11. Strong leadership and organisational skills
12. Financial understanding and P&L experience
13. A hands-on approach with a passion for fresh food and great service
14. Excellent communication and team-building abilities
15. A proactive mindset and the ability to stay calm under pressure
