Job Opportunity: PHP Back End Developer
We have a great opportunity for a PHP Back End Developer to join our talented Digital Team. You will help build websites and apps for a diverse range of well-known brands, taking a proactive role in projects and collaborating closely with team members to share your IT/digital skills.
About You
You are enthusiastic, focused, passionate about coding, and eager to embrace new technologies. You have at least 2+ years of experience as a back-end developer, with solid technical knowledge, modern programming skills, and excellent communication skills. You pay keen attention to detail and enjoy writing high-quality code.
Essential and Desirable Skills
* Proven experience in back-end web development
* Proficiency in PHP and MySQL
* Experience building responsive, mobile-first websites
* Collaborative experience with front-end developers
* Knowledge of current coding best practices
* Excellent communication and attention to detail
* Confidence in client meetings
* Team-oriented and proactive problem solver
* Ability to work under tight deadlines
* Computer science degree or equivalent
* Knowledge of .NET (Visual Studio, C#) and Umbraco
* Understanding of UX/UI design principles
* Experience with iOS and Android app development
* Knowledge of SEO, form tracking, and split testing
* Experience with SVN and version control management

What We Offer
* Salary: £30-35k gross per annum

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. You should live within an easily commutable distance to the office.
