Key Responsibilities
* Monitor trading activity and electronic communications to detect potential market abuse, manipulation, or other regulatory breaches.
* Conduct detailed investigations into alerts, escalating issues where necessary.
* Maintain and enhance surveillance tools, systems, and procedures to ensure effective risk detection.
* Liaise with compliance advisory, front-office, and operations teams to address findings and improve controls.
* Assist in preparing reports for internal stakeholders and, when necessary, regulatory bodies.
* Support the ongoing development of the firm’s surveillance framework in line with evolving regulations and market practices.
Requirements
* 2+ years’ experience in compliance surveillance within commodities, energy, or broader financial services.
* Experience using trade surveillance systems and interpreting market data.
* Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
