Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant and Bar Supervisor to oversee our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and culinary arts, with a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role requires a leader who can manage a team effectively, ensuring that all aspects of the venue run smoothly while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.
Duties
* Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Manage and train bar staff, fostering a positive team environment.
* Oversee food preparation and production, ensuring quality and presentation meet our standards.
* Develop and implement creative drink menus that enhance the customer experience.
* Maintain inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate supplies.
* Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to encourage professional growth.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, ensuring satisfaction.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate service during busy periods.
* Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a bar or restaurant setting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
* Culinary experience is highly desirable, including food preparation and cooking skills.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Previous experience in hospitality
* Familiarity with serving techniques, cocktail and barista skills would be beneficial.
