Roofer
Salary: £35,000 - 40,000+ per annum
An established property services contractor is looking for an experienced Roofer to join their growing team in Woking. This is a permanent role offering stability, varied work and the opportunity to work on a long term social housing maintenance contract.
The Role
- Carry out roofing repairs and maintenance on residential properties
- Diagnose roofing defects and identify the most effective repair solutions
- Repair and maintain flat, tiled and slated roofs
- Complete associated minor works including carpentry, flashing, repointing and brickwork repairs
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with residents
- Participate in a call out rota as required
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 in Roofing or equivalent, or time served roofing experience within social housing
- Minimum 3 years roofing experience, ideally within the social housing or repairs sector
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, methods and maintenance practices
- Ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs right first time
- Self motivated with excellent problem solving skills
- Professional, reliable and customer focused approach
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations relating to roofing works
Desirable
- PASMA and/or TETRA training
- Experience working within responsive maintenance contracts
