Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring and teaching, with a particular focus on supporting children in their academic journey. This role involves working closely with students to enhance their understanding of various subjects, providing tailored support to meet individual learning needs, including those with special educational requirements.
Duties
* Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students across different age groups and subjects.
* Assess students' academic needs and develop personalised learning plans to address specific challenges.
* Create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
* Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student confidence and motivation.
* Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents regarding achievements and areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to the student's education.
* Stay updated on educational best practices and incorporate innovative teaching strategies into sessions.
Skills
* Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children of varying ages.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Experience or knowledge in special education is highly desirable, allowing for tailored support for students with additional needs.
* Ability to build rapport with students quickly, fostering trust and encouraging open communication about their learning experiences.
