Deputy Theatre Manager

As the Obstetric Theatre Team Leader, you will plan and order future lists, manage and develop staff, work with members of the multi‑disciplinary team to provide a timely, high standard of care to patients. You will also be assisting the Theatre Manager in the continuing responsibility for the management of the Department. This includes the deployment of staff, equipment, supplies and other resources. You will have oversight of the Obstetric service delivered in theatre, assist with training and educating staff. Be the link for the department at meetings, disseminating any changes to practice or equipment.
Carrying out 24‑hour responsibility for the department in the absence of the Theatre Manager.
Planning and ordering of future lists, staff management, and multi‑disciplinary team collaboration to provide high‑standard care.
Person Specification
Education
* Registered nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
Knowledge and skills
* Minimum 2 years post‑registration experience.
* Sound surgical scrub skills in all Obstetric procedures undertaken in Theatre.
* Leadership and management qualification.
* Experience of teaching in practice.
