We are looking for an experienced Furniture Product Development & Account Manager to join our growing team on a 9-month fixed term contract.
This is a senior, hands‑on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, commercial strategy and supply chain execution. It is not entry level — we’re looking for someone with a strong retail and/or supply background who can confidently operate across multiple teams, factories and customer accounts.
You will have the opportunity to work on ranges for some of the biggest UK retail names.
The Role
You will play a pivotal role in driving product development from concept through to launch, while ensuring commercial targets and customer expectations are met.
Key responsibilities include:
Product Development & Innovation
* Competitor reviews and structured comp shops
* Trend analysis and identifying commercial opportunities
* Generating new product concepts and category expansion ideas
* Working closely your team to ensure factories translate ideas into viable, costed products
Critical Path & Project Management
* Managing multiple projects across global factories
* Owning and driving critical paths to ensure on‑time delivery
* Simplifying communication between internal teams and supply partners
* Ensuring clear priorities and accountability across stakeholders
Commercial & Margin Management
* Reviewing prices against target margins
* Deep diving into cost models while maintaining a strategic overview
* Supporting pricing decisions that align with both retailer expectations and business objectives
Account & Team Management
* Preparing compelling customer presentations — from strategic business reviews to category‑specific product proposals
* Managing daily team workloads and setting clear priorities
* Acting as a collaborative bridge between design, commercial and operations
About You
* Has extensive experience within retail, sourcing, buying or product development ideally in Furniture or Home departments.
* Has managed a worldwide supply base
* Has led or managed teams
* Is commercially astute and confident working with margins and pricing structures
* Has a strong eye for product, design and emerging trends
* Is highly organised and able to multitask across multiple live projects
* Is experienced in building strategic, high‑quality presentations
* Is approachable, collaborative and hands‑on
* Can zoom in to detail and zoom out to see the bigger picture
You must be able to travel to Chester, UK on a regular basis as well as London and the surrounding areas on store visits, whilst being dedicated during remote working hours for the remaining time.
