Registered Manager

Are you a strong, values-driven leader ready to oversee two small, person-centred residential services?

We are recruiting a Registered Manager to lead two services in Barry:

·The Cedars – 3 People We Support

·Sycamore House – 4 People We Support

Both services support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in homely residential settings focused on independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes. You will be supported by a Deputy Manager, ensuring consistent leadership presence and operational stability across both services.

We understand the importance of flexibility and are open to discussing working patterns at interview to ensure the needs of both services are met while promoting a healthy work-life balance.

1. This is a permanent part-time opportunity (32 hours per week), ideal for candidates seeking reduced hours while maintaining meaningful work.
2. Salary: £31,807.69 per annum
(Equivalent to £39,759.61 per annum at full-time hours, shown for reference only.)

What you’ll be doing:

·Overseeing Cedars and Sycamore

8. Supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs within residential settings.
9. Leading the staff members to maintain a consistently high level of skilled support that’s required for the adults at the service.
10. Continue to expand the workforce by recruiting, coaching, and mentoring new team members.
11. Support 1-1 and continue to promote positive wellbeing and independent living for the people we support.
12. Be responsive to referrals and carry out assessments where needed, to ensure the service remains at a high level of occupancy.
13. Be part of an on-call system.

Who you are:

14. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership/management role.
15. Qualification QCF Level 4, and working towards/completed QCF Level 5.
16. Experience working with people with learning and complex health needs.
17. Experience with electronic systems and processing programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
18. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to listen attentively to others.
19. Ability to collaborate and work professionally with the people we support, families, and involved professionals/agencies to provide a service that maximises positive outcomes.
20. Experience in supervising and supporting staff and deploying staff resources efficiently to meet the needs of the service.
21. Ability to conduct risk assessments with the people we support and devise support and risk management plans.
22. Embracing continuous improvement, sharing best practices with an open mind to learning
23. Driving Licence essential
