Dental Therapist for University of Suffolk
Seeking to provide high-quality NHS dental services to the population of Suffolk through the brand new, state-of-the-art clinical facilities situated on the scenic Ipswich Waterfront. Pro access to CBCT diagnostics.
Reporting to the Dental Officer, with opportunities for those starting or continuing a dental career, and accountable to the Chief Executive Officer of the East of England. In line with current good practice and optimal care delivery, an opportunity to deliver patient-centered care with a focus on prevention, stabilization, and disease management.
Salary: Starting at £35,500
Work hours: Full-time or Part-time considered

Purpose of the job: The post holder will work as a member of a periodontal team providing specialist periodontal care or strengthening the existing dental therapy input. This role may also develop into working with other teams providing therapy and hygiene care to a wide range of patients.
Key responsibilities include:
* Being part of a wider dental team providing dental therapy/hygiene support and working alongside dentists, dental nurses, and receptionists in patient care.
* Supporting the full range of dental care within the scope of practice, from routine examinations to specialist treatments.
* Developing ‘team dentistry’ by applying appropriate skills to a wide range of cases.
* Providing a wide range of dental treatments as appropriate for a registered dental therapist and hygienist, at the request of dentists.
* Obtaining detailed dental histories from patients and evaluating their medical histories.
