Course Director – Hospitality Management
Location: London
Salary: Up to £63,000 per annum
In this role, you will oversee curriculum development, teaching quality, and student experience across our hospitality and leadership programmes. Working closely with subject leads, lecturers, and professional partners, you’ll ensure our courses reflect current industry trends and support excellent student outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading curriculum design, assessment, and quality assurance.
* Managing academic teams, teaching schedules, and course delivery.
* Monitoring student performance and supporting progression and retention.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with industry partners.
* Recruiting, mentoring, and developing academic staff.
* Contributing to strategic planning and institutional quality initiatives.
* Delivering teaching and academic duties as required, including occasional evenings and weekends.
About you:
You’ll bring a strong background in higher education, with proven success in course leadership and curriculum innovation. With deep knowledge of the hospitality, events, or tourism sector, you’ll be committed to delivering inclusive, student-centred learning and maintaining the highest academic standards.
Essential requirements:
* Degree and relevant postgraduate qualification (or equivalent).
* Experience in HE teaching and course leadership.
* Strong understanding of hospitality, events, or tourism industries.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills.
* Proven ability to lead teams and enhance student outcomes.
Desirable:
* PhD or equivalent research profile.
* Fellowship of the HEA.
* Record of research or professional engagement in the field.
