Key Account Manager

We are now offering an exciting opportunity to join the UK’s leading lighting manufacturer as a Key Account Manager. Be part of a team providing innovative lighting solutions across sectors including Education, Healthcare, Commercial, MOD, and MOJ.

The Role of the Key Account Manager

* Promote the purchase of high-quality lighting products, including lighting, lighting controls, and luminaires, while actively creating demand through strategic project hunting.
* Target sectors such as M&E contractors, consultants, food manufacturing, logistics, warehouses, and industrial.
* Influence decision-makers like M&E contractors, consultants, and end-users, ensuring products are specified and delivered via appropriate channels.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships to drive specifications and close project opportunities.
* Collaborate with Lighting Designers to offer optimal product solutions aligned with project requirements.
* Seek out new project opportunities and convert specifications into sales.
* Ensure activities align with company policies.


Benefits of the Key Account Manager

* Salary: £40K - £65K, with £90K - £100K+ OTE
* Car allowance

The Ideal Person for the Key Account Manager

* Experience in lighting, particularly external sales, is preferred.
* Background working with lighting contractors, installers, designers, wholesalers, or industrial sales.
* Proven ability to build strong relationships with consultants and end-users.
* Knowledge of project sales process and exposure to sectors like food manufacturing, logistics, warehouses, and industrial.
* Confident communicator with influence skills.
* Aspiring, driven, and eager to learn and develop.
* A natural relationship builder who combines strategic thinking, technical knowledge, and people skills.
