Payroll Specialist
Cheadle, Greater Manchester (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home) • Full Time | Permanent
Key Responsibilities
* Processing end-to-end payrolls accurately and within agreed deadlines
* Collating, validating and interpreting payroll data from clients
* Managing payroll reconciliations and year-end processes
* Performing manual calculations where required
* Responding to payroll queries and resolving issues within SLA timeframes
* Analysing payroll output to ensure compliance with legislative requirements
* Maintaining payroll procedure documentation and client records
* Liaising with internal departments and statutory bodies where necessary
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function
* Assisting with training and supporting junior team members where appropriate
What They’re Looking For
* Minimum 2 years' UK payroll experience
* Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements
* Previous experience processing payroll end-to-end
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
* Comfortable working to strict payroll deadlines
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
