Job Description
Our premium automotive brand client is currently recruiting for the role of Lead Quality Engineer - Automotive in Warwickshire. This is a 12-month contract (potential for renewal) with a rate of £34/hr (Inside IR35).
The role involves leading all aspects of Vehicle Structures Quality, including problem resolution for in-field vehicle line activities, monitoring quality systems, and driving design improvements and model year updates. The goal is to achieve targets across all areas and contribute to the delivery of quality targets for each vehicle line.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Lead quality improvements within Vehicle Structures, including updating, revising, and controlling all DFMEA & DRBFMs in line with corporate metrics.
* Lead the creation, acceptance, delivery, and resolution of Prevent Recurrence AIMS.
* Lead Failure Mode Avoidance activities within Structures.
* Drive Vehicle Structures improvements related to warranty, R/1000, A/1000, TGW, White Alerts, Grey Alerts.
* Support the Lead Service Engineer in resolving vehicle Technical Assistance (TA) queries.
* Manage Engineering-owned Vehicle Structures IQM projects.
* Inform and communicate new requirements and rules to the team.
* Lead the Lessons Learned process within vehicle structures, ensuring regular reviews, risk analysis, and resolution plans.
* Maintain control and review of all vehicle structures client way processes.
* Support the team in releasing requirements and design rules in 3DEx Total Requirements Management (TRM).

Skills and Experience Required
* Experience in vehicle structure quality improvements within the automotive industry.
* Proficiency in DFMEA & DRBFMs processes.
* Experience in resolving vehicle warranty issues.
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35. The services are provided by Premea Limited, a recruitment consultancy specializing in IT & Engineering for the Automotive, Motorsport, and Aerospace sectors.
