AtkinsRéalis Infrastructure division has an opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our Exeter office; working in a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver a full suite of Building Surveying services. We offer varied and interesting work with high-profile public and private sector clients.
This role is ideal for a Chartered Building Surveyor with post-qualification experience, eager to develop their career within a forward-thinking organization, working collaboratively in a vibrant team, managing client relationships, and handling legal and technical issues.
Responsibilities:
* Managing and delivering building surveying and project management duties across various projects and sectors.
* Developing new and repeat business opportunities.
* Managing client relationships and service delivery on a project basis.
* Applying standard building contracts such as JCT and NEC.
* Staying updated on industry issues and best practices.
* Managing frameworks and leading teams to deliver under framework agreements.
* Experience in sectors like education, local authorities, healthcare, government, and infrastructure.
* Conducting defect analysis, surveys, and producing reports and specifications.
* Understanding quality, safety, and environmental principles in project management.
* Delivering pre- and post-contract project management services.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Supporting senior managers in daily operations.
* Project management and contract administration for larger projects.
* Condition and measured surveys.
* Designing and implementing small to medium projects.
Requirements:
* BSc (Hons) Building Surveying, RICS accredited or equivalent.
* Full RICS membership.
* Proven all-round surveying experience.
* Experience in project management pre- and post-contract.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to travel.
* Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM systems, and mentoring APC graduates.
* Understanding of Health and Safety standards.
