Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people’s lives? Teaching Personnel is looking for caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Classroom Assistants to join our partner schools across the Swansea area.
About the Role
As a Classroom Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students to achieve their full potential. Working closely with teachers and specialist staff, you’ll help create engaging learning experiences and provide tailored support for students with a range of abilities, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
What You’ll Be Doing
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to help students thrive both academically and socially.
* Assisting in planning and delivering activities adapted to individual learning needs.
* Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment.
* Supporting pupils during lessons and activities to develop confidence, communication, and independence.
* Collaborating with teachers, parents, and professionals to track progress and celebrate achievements.
* Helping prepare classroom materials and learning resources.
* Providing personal care and ensuring students’ safety and well-being at all times.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential — we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn above all.
* A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A genuine commitment to helping every child succeed.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are advantageous but not required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
