Job Description
Job Role: Restaurant Manager
Rate of pay: £48,500 (+service charge)
Location: Windsor (Must Drive)
Position Overview
To be responsible for the smooth running of all restaurant services through close liaison with the Head Chef, Assistant Manager, and service team.
To develop a well-structured team of food and wine service motivated to deliver the highest levels of service and guest care, exceeding expectations at all times.
Essential Functions & Physical Requirements
* Manage, lead, and motivate the team to enhance performance, achieve business goals, financial budgets, and service standards.
* Mentor, train, and coach team members, including day-to-day coaching, on-the-job training, and formal training.
* Manage shift coverage, workload, and resource distribution within and across teams.
* Monitor and evaluate team performance and conduct PDPs for team supervisors.
* Interview, hire, onboard, and plan for staff succession.
* Manage departmental budget, P&L, and payroll.
Service & Operational Standards
Develop, implement, and monitor standards to ensure outstanding guest experiences, complying with legislation and hotel guidelines, including health & safety, food handling, and hygiene legislation.
Identify and implement new standards to enable service excellence and ensure team members deliver consistently excellent service.
Guest Relations & Systems Management
Manage, monitor, and improve service and operational systems to ensure seamless guest relations and compliance with hotel guidelines.
Develop and monitor guest service systems such as reservation systems and guest records.
Manage billing and cash systems, proactively respond to guest feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
Menu & Environment Management
Ensure the menu and environment meet luxury standards to exceed guest expectations and maximize business growth.
Review and update menus, manage furniture and equipment, and ensure proper stocking and hygiene standards.
Sales & Marketing
Contribute to F&B marketing plans, implement sales promotions, and monitor sales activities to drive growth.
Stay informed of market trends and assess competition.
Communication & Leadership
Maintain effective communication with guests and colleagues, lead brand team meetings, and share knowledge across brands.
Qualifications & Desirables
* Hotel management diploma or university degree.
* Experience in a five-star environment and leadership roles.
* Fluent in English, with strong industry knowledge, business acumen, and financial skills.
* Proven record of service excellence and people management.
* Immaculate appearance.
